Located along the cobblestone streets once occupied by push cart vendors, New York City's historic past comes to life in the authentic yet modern Blue Moon Hotel. It is located on the Lower East Side and approximately eight miles from LaGuardia Airport. The hotel is on a museum block near several eclectic shops, bars, restaurants, and lounges. The following trains are located nearby: the B, D, F, J, M, and the Z.

A renovated tenement building, the hotel offers historic decor, 24-hour security, and complimentary continental breakfast. Parking is nearby.

The hotel's 22 guest rooms are named after legends of the 1920s and '30s and feature from 320 to 750 square feet of space, ceilings 10 to 14 feet high, historical memorabilia, custom fabrics, cable flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, minibars, wireless Internet access, deep tubs (some with hydromassage baths), bath amenities, closets, safes, climate controls, hairdryers, and extra towels. Some rooms feature balconies.

All guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival and all rooms get one complimentary gym pass valid for the entire day. Also, the hotel provides a discounted parking garage located two blocks from the Hotel. Guests who book the Quintessential and Luxury rooms enjoy free parking for the whole stay.

The Blue moon was featured in the April 2008 issue of National Geographic Traveler as one of just 3 Hotels in New York to check into. Out of 600 nominees in the U., Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, only 150 Hotels were selected for this honor.
